Report 005: Field Observation // The Sector 7 Anomaly
Location: Sector 7 / Blackwood Deep
Subject: The Primary Breach
Investigator: Geoff T. Green

The Anomaly
The Spectre-Cam led me past the "Data Wall" and into the center of the forest. The air here isn't just cold; it’s vibrating. It feels like the reality I’m walking through has been stretched to the point of snapping.
The Discovery
I found it. A vertical tear—a jagged wound in the air itself—about three meters high. It pulses with a rhythm that matches the movement of the binary rain I saw on the perimeter. It sounds like a low-frequency hum—the sound of the world’s firmware failing to render the trees behind it. But it isn't just noise. Beneath the static, I can see shapes. Ghostly, translucent machinery and glass structures that don't belong in the woods. And on the ground, centered perfectly at the base of this tear, lies the Ceramic Tile.
The Observation
The tile is pulsing with the same golden light I’ve only ever seen in the descriptions of the "Old People's" work. It’s not just a relic; it’s an anchor. It’s holding this tear open. When the Spectre-Cam zoomed in, I saw that the tile is covered in circuitry that isn't etched—it’s growing and shifting, as if reacting to my presence.
Field Note
When I approached the tile, the static tear flickered. For a fraction of a second, I didn't see the forest; I saw a room of glass and white light. I’ll take the artifact back to the Thinkpad for a deep-pulse scan.
The Implication
This isn't an "Offence" in the way the Council defines it. It’s a bridge. Something is trying to communicate through the static, and the tile is the key. I’m going to retrieve it, but I have a feeling that moving it might force the tear to either stabilize or collapse entirely.
